Industrial Chemicals  And Cancer

There are many chemicals products that come in daily contact with our body. We talked earlier of food additives, air pollution, etc. We now refer to products that for one reason or another come into contact with our skin. As always, the healthier will be all that is natural. It is not enough that the label says " 100 % natural ".

This does not mean that all synthetic products are carcinogens. Simply , we should pay special attention to the composition of everything that comes into contact with our skin.

First, we must consider that the skin is a vital organ .Its killing function through the sweat glands is so important that when the body is deprived of its function death ensues.

The extensive burns example on more than 2 /3 of  the skin is a clear example : those accidents often end fatally.

We can also cite the case of the dancers who smeared their bodies with a tan colored substance that completely prevented sweating : half an hour after falling lifeless, dying shortly afterwards. There are similar cases that demonstrate the vital function of the skin.

Absorbing function of the skin is also known: ointments and creams take this action . So if our body is in contact with natural agents, health will absorb through the skin.

Pollution and health
If we are in contact with toxic agents, will absorb toxins. We could speak first of toilet soaps, shower gels and hair shampoos. Let us first consider the skin normally has a pH of approximately 5.5 . This means that is impregnated with an acid mantle that protects us from the outside environment.

When we clean, this mantle is lost, depending on the aggressiveness of soap or shampoo. Logically, a soap, gel or natural shampoo will be more skin friendly.

The homemade soap made with oil and caustic soda is excellent . We should look for the most natural product as possible. Regarding the frequency of toilet soap, we could say that do it too often forces the skin to maintain its acidity, making more effort within healthy limits.
