Lignans , which are a particular type of fiber are found in flaxseed, can also be beneficial for  prevention of breast and prostate cancer. We recommend adding one to five tablespoons of ground flaxseed to the diet several days a week. In case you choose to consume flaxseed oil , it must be raw.


Flaxseed is one of the richest sources in lignans. Lignans act as phytoestrogens ,replacing estrogen when the body can not produce them in sufficient quantity, as occurs during menopause, or blocking its effects when  are produced in excessive amounts.

They can help prevent certain cancers, particularly those related to hormones, such as breast, endometrial and prostate cancer and may also help prevent certain inflammatory reactions. Can also find oil flax seed in pearls providing great lignan concentration.


Also you can buy ground flaxseed if you do not want  purchase it entire. Should be stored in a pot as soon as the package is opened. It should start eating the seed slowly to avoid possible allergy. During the first week of use, you should start with 1/ 4 teaspoon a day.


After a week can increase the daily amount to take 2 tablespoons a day.The person must continue to take seed a lifetime to keep protecting the heart. Flaxseed can be taken mixed to any kind of food you want.

Many people put the seed in oatmeal, others in yogurt or juice or in salad , soups, on peanut butter or baked fish.
